Connersville News Examiner: Pence hosts town hall meeting in Brookville
Darrell Smith of The Connersville News Examiner writes about Rep. Pence's recent town hall meeting at the Brookville Public Library. The Congressman discussed the conflict in Iraq in detail. One of his quotes follows: "I know Hoosiers and Americans are frustrated with what they see on the television screen. I’ve had to pick up the phone and call the parents of nine service men in the counties which I serve in the last three years and they were nine of the worst calls I ever made in my life," Pence said. "But let me say that despite what it might appear like on the television screen, I remain convinced we are making consistent and steady progress towards our military, political and strategic objectives in Iraq and Afghanistan."
