Pence participates in National Day of Prayer service
In the midst of a hectic Thursday on Capitol Hill, I had a few moments of peace and quiet reflection as I attended a prayer service for the National Day of Prayer. It is a profoundly encouraging thing, particularly in these troubled times, to gather with men and women, Democrats and Republicans, for the simple purpose of praying for our nation and our leaders. After the service, I walked out of the Cannon Building on my way to the Capitol with the echoes of the hymns being sung by the faithful just three floors up ringing through the halls above me.mrp
